Polishing Our Chrome

My students need 5 Google Chromebooks to create projects and complete classroom assignments. Google Chromebooks enhance learning by the use of technology.

My Students

Technology is growing rapidly in the world. It is critical for my students to learn through technology in order to keep up with today's fast pace, growing society. The Chromebooks will allow my students to be able to personal their learning and work at their own pace.

I have 19 fun, loving, and energetic first graders.

They love learning new things and have a strong desire to succeed. They are always keeping me on my toes with their desire to learn more. My school is in a high-poverty area, which can prevent the students from experiencing the type of technology and learning that I want to use in my classroom.

My Project

These 5 Chromebooks will allow for more one-on-one instruction with my students. My students will be actively engaged while using the Chromebooks. While utilizing some of the online assessment programs, it will allow assignments that are given on the Chromebooks to be more assessable for myself and my students. This project will give my students access to a variety of different ways to learn new things, gain knowledge of today's growing technology world, and most importantly; creating a learning style that works the best for them which creates lifelong learners!

Having these 5 Chromebooks in my classroom will allow for students to work at their own pace and also become more responsible for their own learning.

Exposure to technology with increase student engagement in all subject areas and offer excitement for school involvement and learning. Students will gain exposure to the growing technology world that will assist them in the working community.
