My Students

My class of 3rd grade students attend a PreK-5th grade elementary school in the northern part of rural Maine. We are going to be implementing several local field trips this year and would like to record the experiences.

The curriculum will be enriched and the students will enjoy capturing the real world, hands-on experiences.

There are 9 boys and 9 girls in the class. They are kind and thoughtful children with many diverse interests and strengths. They enjoy sports and gymnastics, drums and fashion, camping, scouting and nature.

My Project

My students need a digital camera to capture images on their learning journey through the third grade curriculum. We are planning on creating a collaborative scrapbook of our learning targets throughout the year.

We will capture digital images on field trips and in the classroom to create learning projects that illustrate the content standards we are enriching.

I want students to be able to use the camera in the classroom to create visual projects in order to gain proficiency on English Language Arts standards and to illustrate their mastery of Math goals as well.

The digital camera would be for student use in the classroom and on class excursions. They would benefit from having access to a useful digital learning tool. It is essential for digital age learners to have access to modern technology in the 21st century classroom.
