Podcasts and Music Recording for Passion Projects!

My Students

My students include 7th graders whose families have chosen to attend a charter school focusing on arts and personalized learning. They come from all around the southern areas of San Diego County.

I love knowing that I'm building the next generation of artists, performers, and thinkers.

I want to be able to provide them each with the environment and resources that they need to grow and thrive.

There are so many students that can be truly engaged in their learning thanks to arts integration. Some of my students are wonderfully talented at fine arts, dance, or music, and some of them are just beginning to cultivate an interest. My goal is to help each of them reach their fullest potential by constantly integrating art into their learning.

My 7th-grade class is a self-contained classroom. I teach math, science, history, and English, but I am also the supervisor for our Board Games & RPG Club as well as Student Council.

My Project

We had a Blue Yeti microphone for several years in my classroom, which I had purchased for my students to be able to record high quality music and podcasts. It's been very popular with students for different projects over the years. Unfortunately, it finally broke this year, and we find ourselves in need of another one.

This new Yeti Microphone is able to plug into any of our students' Chromebooks to allow them to be professional level Podcasters, TV Show Producers, and Musicians.

We would really appreciate having one for my students this year, as well as future year students to use. We continuously work on passion projects each week, so students will have an opportunity to use this microphone every day.
