My Students

I teach young ladies from an internationally diverse background, within an urban school district, at a single-gender school; who are amazing, driven, college-bound, high-performing, and competitive. They need the essentials to keep their classrooms flowing and engaging. These seventh through twelfth-grade students may begin the school year with everything on their back-to-school list, or some who do not; but at some point, items go missing, noses start to run, and printers run out of ink.

Many, if not most, of my students have faced obstacles, and have persevered through the challenges.

They are driven; they strive to become individuals who excel in high school; therefore, any assistance I can offer them allows them to stay focused and thrive in the academic environment.

My Project

When you donate to this project, my ladies will be able to work closely with one another to plan, discuss, promote, and produce their podcast. It will help them develop and grow as communicators, journalists, writers, producers, and so much more, by participating in this one project. At this time, there aren't a lot of positive productions they can view; this will allow them to see themselves as positive voices in their community and support one another in the process. If we get one student to thrive, we will have others to follow. In the end, they will have something to be proud of.
