Plus-Plus for Problem Solving is a Win-Win

My Students

My amazing students make up one of four fourth-grade classrooms in a diverse school of about six hundred students and one of two inclusion rooms. Together, we are part of the largest elementary school in our district.

These incredible fourth graders come to school fully trusting me to provide them with opportunities to grow and succeed.

With working in an inclusion classroom, we have a variety of needs, from low-performing academic to behavioral needs. These students deserve a learning environment that matches their needs, creative lessons that challenge their thinking, and continuous support to prepare them for the future. It is my goal to make sure I have all of these things in place so they can reach their full potential.

My Project

To say these last few months in education have been different would be an understatement. I am continuing to look for activities that will give students a brief brain break from their iPads, but continue to allow students to work on a variety of skills. I would like to provide students with Plus-Plus blocks, especially for an indoor recess activity.

Plus-Plus blocks would challenge students to be creative thinkers and problem-solvers as they try to recreate a variety of pictures or create their own images.

These puzzle pieces and building blocks will keep students engaged and also allow them to work on following directions.
