it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students love to write. We have plenty of white boards but never enough dry erase markers. We practice number writing and letter formation on a daily basis. This practice reduces our use of paper and provides a fun, interactive medium. We can write and wipe it away.
My 25 kindergarten students attend a high-poverty public school.
They are learning the basics. Dry erase boards are an engaging way to hold their attention and interest. We use them several times in class. Students write letters and numbers and flip their boards so I can easily monitor their learning.
My Project
These 8 packs of dry erase boards are used during reading to write sight word vocabulary. During blending time, students practice their letter sounds and give each other practice tests. While in math, students write numbers and number sentences for addition and subtraction. During writing, they write one or two sentence stories to share out loud with their classmates. All day long we use the boards. Without them, we would be wasting lots of paper. My students need dry erase markers to use with our dry erase boards.
