This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items I am requesting, such as Pocky, chips, and granola bars, will make a meaningful difference in my students' learning by addressing one of their most basic needs—hunger. Many of my students face food insecurity, which directly impacts their focus, energy, and ability to engage in the classroom. Providing these snacks will help them stay nourished and attentive, creating a more equitable learning environment where all students can thrive.

My goal for this project is to create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel valued and cared for.

By meeting their immediate needs, I aim to improve their attendance, participation, and overall academic success. These snacks will also serve as part of our incentive system, encouraging positive behaviors and rewarding achievements in a tangible, meaningful way.
