Hi,
I teach 6th grade in an inner city school. Many of these students are excellent readers and can't seem to get their hands on enough books.
Most of my students are low income and can't afford books from the book orders I send out. They love it when I order books for the class so they can read and discuss the newest books.
My students need more books. They can't get enough. They would like to read the third book in the Christopher Paolini series. They are also anxious to read the third book in the Inkheart trilogy series. They would like to read the books "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas", and "The Tale of Despereaux" to compare the books to the movies. They have been discovering that the books are usually better than the movies and are really excited to read them and see if that's true in these cases.
I have spent all of my teacher allowance for the year on books but the students are still begging for more. Please help us get more for them to read.
I have a great class that really tries hard despite facing hardships in life. They deserve the latest books and will appreciate them.
