I am a second grade teacher in a Title One School. This year my students are learning how to use the computer to access the internet. I would like for my students to be able to use the internet to find resources they could use for assigned projects. Unfortunately, only 4 out of 26 students have a computer at home. This means that most of the kids in my class do not have the opportunity to search the web for information needed to complete various homework assignments. By having a printer in our classroom, my students can use the web to directly print information they find on the internet. They could also use the printer to publish writing pieces. This year my students will be expected to search the web and find information for various research projects on a weekly basis. This will require a printer. Some of the research projects this year will be on animals, black history month, dinosaurs, and women's history month. I would greatly appreciate having a multi-function printer in my classroom where my students can scan and print different things, right in the comfort of their own classroom! They could use the information they print to assist them in completing their research reports. Thank you in advance for your time and support.
