My students need a printer to create a print-rich environment of their own works, master studies, and art vocabulary. We desperately need this essential item!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I get most of my days started with 42 energetic, talented, and intelligent kiddies who keep me on my toes! Who needs coffee when I've got students like mine! They are full of energy and positivity.
My students are definitely eccentric, fun, and optimistic.
Our school is a special one, located in the inner-city of Miami. I serve students from different backgrounds, cultural beliefs, and nationalities. A large percentage of our students are either ELL or SPED, and in between we have general ed. and advanced. Unfortunately, my school only offers four electives to serve our student population. Most classes are stacked with little to no materials which makes our job as teachers very difficult. We understand that "it takes a village" to raise a child, so we all work together to get what our students need.
My Project
I asked for one of the most basic classroom items, a printer. A printer would help me to print out student work for display, pictures for more classroom visuals, and would simply help students who do not have access to a printer or even a computer at home. One of the many projects I would like to use a printer for is self-portraits, more specifically through grid drawing as inspired by Chuck Close. They will learn about the artist, learn the basics of using a ruler, and will create their own self-portrait.
This donation would vastly improve my classroom since we do not have this basic necessity in the classroom and my school does not have any available printers to give me.
It would change the students' lives in knowing that people they have never met or know want to be helpful and selfless in providing them with a printer to make their learning experience and classroom a better one. Hopefully this will be a lesson in paying it forward for them as well.
Thank you so much!
