My Students
A typical day in my 13/1/1 self-contained classroom for students with special needs can be demanding and stimulating. I am constantly on my feet all day. My days are spent constantly redirecting my student’s behaviors, teaching to meet the academic needs of each individual student, giving out rewards
The students of my classroom are incredibly wonderful, but more importantly, they are so interested and eager to learn, but they just need some basic supplies to facilitate their learning outcomes.
The students at our school are struggling to receive the best education possible while dealing with the circumstances of living a poor and over crowded school district. Our school has a very high poverty rate. We are a Title 1 School and have close to 100% free lunch servings. Our school has nearly 1000 students from various and similar backgrounds with single parents, homelessness, or are in foster care.
My Project
We are a project based classroom. Your donations will help bring the rainbow of color to my students all in desperate need of visual supports. My students should not have to wait over a day for research materials to be printed out from the computer in the main office. They will use the printer to create displays and their projects. Such as Independence Day, National History Day Projects, and Project Based Learning Displays. With that being said, the printer is empty-no ink! I am pleading to you, PLEASE donate to our ink project, so that my students and I can continue being PROUD of the works they will continue to create.
It is essential that my students have access to a variety of learning materials.
By supporting our project, you are helping to unlock the many resources that will be printed for my students to use this year. It is very important to me for students leave my classroom with a sense of pride, knowing that their work efforts matters to me- big or small should not go unnoticed.
