My students are in grades K-5 at a New York City public school. I teach at a school with a special education program and a dual-language program and my students are incredibly diverse, speaking Spanish and French, coming from the neighborhood to across the seas. Each of them learns in a unique way. I work with gifted children and struggling learners. Many of the students I work with on a daily basis in my special education small groups have learning disabilities and emotional needs. They are all curious, interesting, funny, and charming.
The children I teach are in my reader's theater program, my special education small groups, my ICT classroom, and my intervention groups for struggling learners.
My Project
Our classroom needs basic supplies for my students to learn successfully. We are asking for dry erase markers and erasers, a printer, and an iPad for sight word games and individual research projects.
Because many of my students' families cannot afford to help out our classroom, and our school provides teachers with no funding and no supplies, we need your help.
Often, I have no access to a printer at school, so this would be a huge help to both my students and me to have printer access in our room. It would enable me to print student work from my computer and to easy manage IEP paperwork. I greatly appreciate your help and consideration!
