This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"College for certain!" My students chant this every morning because they are determined to go to college.

Although most of my students are from families below the poverty level, they bring a wealth of love, sincerity and a strong appetite for learning.

My students come to school every day ready to "show what they know" and work as a team to gain more knowledge. They attend a school where the day is extended and the school year is longer than all the schools in their community. The school teaches students to have a laser-like focus on college.

My Project

Our classes are working on cross curricular projects. We are in need of Amazon Fire tablets to help us read stories and articles tied to our science standards, take photos and videos as we build our projects and create slideshows to present to other students. We are working on our reading and speaking fluency.

Donations to this project will allow us to better prepare our group projects and keep students engaged in learning about the world around them by incorporating reading, math and science standards.

Our students once found reading challenging, by creating problem based learning lessons, each students is able to learn through access, inquiry and wonder. Please help fuel our school with this technology to prepare our students for college and careers.
