My Students
For some of my students it takes two buses and a trolley to get to school. For others it takes dodging bullets and break ins on their walk to school. Please help me preserve my students work to show them how important and special it is!
For many of my kids my classroom is one of the few places they feel safe.
The work we create in my class is something my students cherish. The writing about the loss of a loved one in a violent attack or the moving artwork my kids create after reading about deforestation deserves to be protected, not chewed up by the mice we have or ripped off the walls by children having tantrums. Please help me get a laminator to preserve the amazing work my unique students create so they can keep it as they make strides in their skills and ability.
My Project
My kids are a great group of individuals who don't deserve to suffer the consequences of a school district that can't afford to give them what they deserve! My students have no art, gym, recess or music.
While learning about the Iditerod races and reading "Balto" my students became fascinated with the northern lights in Antarctica.
I wanted to be able to incorporate art into my literacy lessons. Our class decided to create a mural using chalk and black construction paper to draw the northern lights. My students were thrilled with their display.
A few days after I put the mural and our writing pieces on the bulletin board it broke my heart to see that some of the eighth grade students threw a juice bottle on their hard work and ruined the mural.
Please help me get a laminator to protect the creations of my students, who deserve SO much more than what they are getting. Please help me help them.
