My Students

My students are a sweet group of firsties who come from many different countries including Africa, Palestine, Iraq, Brazil, China, Japan, the Congo, Spain and the Dominican Republic.
They are an excited and eager bunch! A portion of my students qualify for refugee status and coming to America has been exciting and overwhelming as they adapt and learn the language and customs. Many are first generation English speakers.
My Project
My students are a great group of ESL students who need to be able to focus on apps and lessons in the classroom while using computers or tablets; alone or with a partner. With volume controlled headphones this will be possible! They will be able to give their attention completely to the lesson, whether it be Sight Words or reading practice with tablets. Having a portable, compact charging station will allow them to keep all of our new technology up and running effectively, without interupting their learning or wondering where plugs and electrical outlets are within our classroom. A portable charging station will also allow us to keep technology safe after use.
