This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are half poverty high need population in northern California. Our school has no extra funds, we are without many things. Kindergarten is a time to explore and realize who you are who you would want to be and to feel safe. Unfortunately, almost 40% or more of my students are without many supplies.

As a teacher there is so much I can do, and there is nothing at times I can do, this is why we need your help.

These children are so thankful, so wonderful and all they need is someone to believe in them. Therapeutic play can serve in individual growth purposes. In childhood, therapeutic play serves both social and personal function. Children who have had traumatic experiences can work out their demos encountered by their childhood experience as well as many challenges and anticipations of the future. My students come from a varied of backgrounds and countries, I am so lucky be their teacher.

My Project

Ouch! I know it's a lot, but its a whole classroom filled with new books, and tax deductable to you!!! The books that are included are leveled books that I use during guided reading which always motivate children to read. It will change these readers lives for years to come. I will be able to read to them from our own personal library collection that you helped create! These books are leveled and help me facilitate learning to read. Books are magical and transcend learning into a motivational tool. The students will be able to read these individual books in their book bag! Yeah! Let the reading begin! Thank you for helping me facilitate reading in a positive way.

Kindergarteners have to learn how to read before they leave to go to first grade (different than when you and I went).

Please feel empowered to know you will be helping 22 Kindergarteners learn how to read. Thank you so much for making a difference in this world and helping the children of our future. The best little Kindergarten class in Northern California sends their love and gratitude!
