This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work with 18 wonderful and curious Prekindergarten students in a diverse school in Brooklyn, New York. The children love to learn through play and exploration daily during choice time, small group time, and whole group times. They especially utilize our carpet in our daily routine, which is an important item in our class.
My Prekindergarten students would love a new learning carpet!
We currently use a carpet but it is a very old carpet that definitely needs to be replaced! Please consider donating a new learning carpet to our Prekindergarten class!
My Project
A carpet is an essential item needed in a Pre-Kindergarten classroom. At the carpet, the children have class meetings, learn new concepts, play, read, and even nap with mats. We currently have a carpet that is very old, stained, and falling apart. It just is not suitable for children any longer. I am specifically asking for this learning rug because it has letters, numbers, shapes, and colors which allows me to use it as a learning tool as well as all of the uses previously stated. The children will love using our new giant carpet to learn essential academic concepts in a fun and engaging way.
