Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Having available instruments is a top priority, unfortunately it doesn't end there! There is so much that goes on to use these instruments properly.
We have a modest collection of old instruments, but the accessories that are required to keep them working, and well maintained are more than what the students can afford in most cases.
We also need extra music stands, so that each student will have his or her own, and not to have to share.
My Project
The requested accessories cover a wide range of students playing different instruments:
1. Music stands will be used by all students.
2. Wind students will use the cleaning swabs to clean their instruments.
3. Brass students will use valve and slide oil to operate their instruments smoothly.
4. String students will use the rosins to rosin their bows.
5. A couple of violins cases are damaged and I'm requesting a replacement for them.
6. Advanced keyboard students will use the midi controller to enter music into the keyboard and make their own compositions.
7. Keyboard power adapters to run a couple of keyboards that are lacking power adapters.
This requested accessories will make sure that that class operates smoothly and efficiently where students will focus only on learning and making music, not how to fix a wiggly stand or how to clean their instruments, or try to find someone to loan them a rosin to use on their bows, etc.
