The students are amazing! I teach in a gifted and talented classroom and each one of my kids is a bright and creative learner. They bring so much joy to the classroom and are full of curiosities about the world around them. The students come from various cultural backgrounds. Some of them are bilingual and speak languages such as Spanish or Korean. In the classroom they're all great friends with one another. There is a big emphasis on being part of a community and working together.
My Project
The rug that the students have now can be used but it is full of yucky stains and the colors are dark. I feel like warmer colors in this new rug can be calming for the children and of course it wouldn't have any stains like the ones I have now :/ The students currently use the rug each day for learning and it is such a big part of the classroom. It would be more enjoyable to teach the students if they are comfortable and happy where they are sitting in their learning environment and for me to support them there.
