This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With a class of 28 students, snacks and pencils are difficult to keep stocked! Often my students miss breakfast in the morning or need an afternoon snack for more brain power. It's the saddest when they ask to have a snack for home because they say they have no food. I try to do my best to take care of my students' needs and have snacks available, but they do get eaten rather quickly and I often like to send extra snacks home with them especially if they have siblings.

Pencils are needed daily and often do not get returned to me and I quickly go through these and just about have to purchase a new pack weekly.

Any help to support my students will be greatly appreciated as they need food to be able to concentrate and learn and pencils to complete their classroom tasks.
