it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hello, I'm a sixth grade teacher of all subjects in a public school in the Bronx. Our school is located in a low socio-economic neighborhood.
My class consists of 26 students. Out of my 26 students, around 45% are living in city shelters. For one reason or another, their parents are not able to pay for their rents. The majority of my students come to school without supplies on a daily basis. At the beginning of the school year, I bought crayons, coloring pencils, markers, notebooks, pens and pencils for all my students. Please help me provide them with these supplies again for them next school year. Maybe this is difficult for you to believe, but most of the parents do not have the resources to buy these supplies for their children. Please, give them the gift of having a first day of school without worries and embarrassments.
