This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I provide counseling for students in temporary housing. They are exceptionally resilient - I love that they are dedicated and triumphant! Although in temporary housing and experience barriers that subvert their academic endeavors, they always prioritize their presence to academically succeed!
My Project
These materials will make a positive impact on students while feeling that there is always a safe space in their academic environment. These items are for the purposes to provide nourishment in addition to the storage furniture that will help with storing snacks in a safe space to meet the student's basic needs and feel comfortable in order to carry on and have the ability to embark on their daily academic responsibilities comfortably - to focus and sustain the ability to move forward and remain resilient regardless of the present impact of their housing situations.
