Please Help Kindergarten Resume With Some Essential Fun Items!
Help me give my students essential tools for play items and a math center to start IN-PERSON learning in kindergarten: construction paper, math center, and a class mailbox.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a half-poverty, high-need population in Northern California. Our school has no extra funds; we are without many things. Kindergarten is a time to explore and realize who you are, who you would want to be, and feel safe. Unfortunately, almost 40% or more of my students are without many supplies. During this pandemic, we as teachers need supplies and so do our students.
As a teacher, there is so much I can do, and there is nothing at times I can do.
This is why we need your help. These children are so thankful, so wonderful, and all they need is someone to believe in them. Therapeutic play can serve individual growth purposes. In childhood, therapeutic play serves both social and personal functions. Children who have had traumatic experiences can work out their demons encountered by their childhood experience and many challenges and anticipations of the future. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and countries. I am so lucky to be their teacher.
My Project
My student's classrooms need basic supplies. I cannot afford to buy such a book library for my class, paper, art supplies and projects, and classroom supplies to return to IN-CLASS LEARNING. There is another plethora of supplies needed to run my classroom, students are no longer able to share, so they need their own little supplies and dramatic play items. With no funds for the RETURN to classrooms and no at all, these wonderful supplies will be a welcome to my room, and the kindergartners will thank you too! The impact will help my students strive and grow into the learners they were meant to be. Thank you so much for giving your time or donation, even if it is 10 dollars. We need altruistic people like you in our schools! This will be very powerful for my kindergarten classroom.
In kindergarten, they must have basic supplies.
Please help your school or this little classroom return to our classroom with some supplies.
Most students come in not knowing the letters of the alphabet but must leave knowing how to read. I believe these supplies will help my students in so many ways, especially the high poverty students. Kindergartners have to learn how to read before they leave to go to first grade (different than when you and I went). Please feel empowered to know you will be helping 25 kindergartners in an inner-city, how to read. Thank you so much! Love!
