My classroom is very diverse and my students attend school in an urban community.
My students come to school every day ready and eager to learn!
Despite any hardships they face at home, when they step into my classroom, their faces light up with anticipation of what the day has to offer.
My students love working in groups, listening to stories, and completing "hands-on" activities. They are very routine oriented and active learners. They are sponges and take in everything I teach them and apply it.
My Project
I already have in my mind exactly where each item will be placed and how each item I requested will be used. The leveled library mobile storage cart with bins will help my students choose "just right" books to foster their independent reading. This cart can also be used to store books/supplies that the students have a hard time fitting in their desk. Our classroom has limited storage space, so every bin counts :)

The reusable write and white pockets would definitely cut back on the amount of copies I would have to make. If we run out of copy paper, we cannot make copies. Therefore, the pockets would allow the students to reuse worksheets and save paper. Also, the students love using dry erase markers, so using these pockets would help keep them engaged.
A giant classroom timer will help keep my students on track! My students like seeing how much time they have left to complete an assignment. It will keep them motivated to get their work done in the time given.
