My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. I just need some supplies to keep it going. We use individual whiteboards for math.

Many of them are being raised in single-parent households/foster care or being raised by a grandparent and receive free lunch based on their socioeconomic status.

These things may prevent them from getting ahead early in life and may not provide them with the life experiences many of us see as "typical." From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly help control their learning experience.

My Project

Please help future mathematicians! The folders, the ziplock baggies, and the wipes will help keep my students organized and safe during the post-COVID-19 times.

These items might seem small and inconsequential but they are everything to my students.

New folders and replacement folders if needed help my students become and stay organized. The ziplock bags give them a place to store their headsets in a neat and organized way. Finally, the wipes are so we can keep everyone safe and everything clean and sanitized during these post-COVID-19 times. Please help my students! You will be making a difference in a child’s education!
