Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are excited about our new music room! Thanks to our wonderful previous donors, all 4th graders are playing recorders this year! Our 5th graders are about to begin their journey learning to play the Ukulele. We are in dire need of wall mounts in order to safely store these instruments in the classroom.
Our new music room is also in need of a large classroom rug.
We do not have chairs in the classroom and our students sit on spots on the tile. This large musical rug will be a great musical resource as well as assist with absorbing sound, since our classroom is not equipped with any type of sound proofing or acoustic panels.
With our 2nd and 3rd grade musicians exploring piano as part of their curriculum, the headphone adaptors will afford them the opportunity to work and practice independently when assigned to do so.
