This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember reading a book or magazine and not understanding what was said?
My students are in the third grade in an inner city school in New York City.
Most of my students come from either shelters or single parent homes. Unfortunately many of their parents don't have a good education supporting them. Despite their home life, most of the children come to school eager to learn.
My Project
These vocabulary games will allow my students to solve prefix puzzles, match up antonyms, race through the dictionary and more. These hands- on games will also help my students socialize with each other while they are building everyday skills that will help them succeed in school and life.
Your donation will allow for independent and small group practice of specific vocabulary skills.
The children will be able to practice and reinforce what has been already taught while they have fun with their peers.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
