This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a lively and inquisitive bunch that show up to class eager to learn, despite the challenges they are faced with both in and out of the classroom. My students have a wide variety of learning styles and levels, all of which deserve the BEST education possible. Every student in my classroom is unique and everyone in the room respects each other. I care about my students and they know it!

My goal as a bilingual teacher is to encourage my students to love learning and to develop lifelong independent learners.

I especially love that my students try their BEST on everything that comes their way! They love to read and enjoy hands-on activities. They are great helpers and I know I can count on them. Every day​, I make sure to instill good qualities that will make them amazing citizens.

My Project

Help me give my students an annual online subscription to Flocabulary for the 2019-2020 school year. I got the opportunity to use Flocabulary with my students because of a 30 day free trial. My students and I were hooked! Flocabulary creates educational hip-hop songs, videos, and additional materials for students. I like that it is research based and "proven to deepen content knowledge, improve vocabulary, and raise test scores." It has lessons for all content areas which include, Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Life Skills, Vocabulary, and Current Events.

Music, singing, and dancing brings joy to our classroom and helps my students learn the content much quicker!

During our 30 day free trial we were able to build our vocabulary on the subject matter at hand. My students also researched a historical figure and made a book report to present in front of the class. Our favorite part was the current events videos. They learned so much about what was going on in the world, things they would have never learned about. I truly believe it helped develop 21st century skills by boosting creativity and collaborating. Please support my classroom so that these fun educational videos can continue to bring increased achievement.
