My Students

Do you ever get eye strain from staring at your computer monitor? Imagine being in a group of 5-10 students huddled around a single computer monitor trying to attend to instruction and learn.

My students are in grades K-5 and receive special education services in and out of the regular education classroom for a variety of needs.

Many of my students are coping with academic needs as well as social and emotional special needs. My elementary school is located in a suburb of a large city in Florida.

My Project

This LCD Projector will open up a whole new world in my classroom. Rather than huddling around a single computer monitor, the LCD projector will enable me to project the computer screen up on the white board. Anything on the computer- learning programs, web sites, lessons, instruction and student-created media can be projected in a large screen format. Experiencing content on a 5 foot by 5 foot screen rather than a 12 inch monitor will enhance my students learning and ability to actively participate in their learning rather than be a passive bystander.
