This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My co-SLP and I support a hardworking and enthusiastic group of diverse learners. In our elementary speech therapy room, we strive to engage and inspire our students as they work to strengthen and build their communication.
Many of our students are multisensory learners working to develop functional language through play.
These toys will allow our students to engage in pretend and sensory play. Our students will work on building their vocabularies, sentence structure, comprehension and social language through play. We have observed tremendous progress for our language-impaired students through play and exploration. The communication targets are endless!
