Plays for Acting and STEAM Lessons in the Drama Classroom

My Project
My students love to act! Although not every student wants to be in front of a large crowd, they all come to class wanting to participate in acting activities or technical projects. The 2 large cast play books that I am requesting will give my students a collection of 25 plays to study and perform.
Students come to my class ready to act and make design choices because we carefully craft an environment where they are free to take risks and be themselves.
We will use these books for character study to practice creating believable characters. This large collection of plays will also give students opportunities to practice developing meaningful stage pictures including tech elements, lighting sound, and set design.
Collaboration and teamwork in the theatre classroom is essential. Please help me acquire the materials to make these lessons possible. Students flourish in environments where they are able to think, problem solve and implement their ideas.
