This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students must stay current with the latest state assessment which is based on pre-literacy skills. Lakeshores Alphabet Sound Teaching Tubs takes an abstract concept and makes it concrete.
In pre-k all activities are hands-on because when a child uses their senses to explore the environment it helps develop their critical thinking skills.
These tubs provide so many opportunities for fun activities and games in which I can expand knowledge, vocabulary, and hold their attention. I feel holding and looking at an object is key when teaching vocabulary. Teaching the alphabet is the foundation on learning how to read.
