Playing with Language

Help me give my students the opportunity to play with language by using games like Bingo, Wordicle, and Scattergories.

My Project

I teach students in grades 6 through 8 with Dyslexia and/or Dysgraphia, which means that they struggle with processing reading and writing our language.

I am requesting games which will offer students the opportunity to play with spelling, reading, and writing.

They are more likely to remember words after playing the Bingo I make for different units and laminate. They practice spelling on white boards, which seems like a game for these students.

Games like Scrabble let them manipulate letter tiles which gives them a multisensory approach. Research has shown that children with Dyslexia learn best through explicit direct instruction and multisensory activities. Help me teach them to love literacy!
