Help me give my students hands-on literacy tools such as magnetic alphabet chips and letters with dry-erase boards.

My Project

My kindergarten students are curious and excited learners. Most of them come from bilingual homes and this is their first experience in a school setting. They are learning to read and learning to cooperate with their peers at the same time.

Hands-on learning tools are the most developmentally appropriate thing I can give my young learners!

Using things like magnetic alphabet chips/letters to build words and work with sounds will provide powerful learning experiences. I would also love to build more interactive activities to use during small groups with the plastic chips and printable labels on my list.

Thank you for your consideration in helping my young students learn to read while having fun! These tools will also allow children to play along with their peers, learning appropriate social skills at the same time.
