My students need games and puzzles to help them build phonemic awareness, increase vocabulary, and recognize sight words.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am an intervention specialist, so I spend my day with struggling readers. They are eager to learn, but we lack many of the tools needed to ensure their success.
Many of my students are English language learners, so they are struggling to learn a new language.
We all know how difficult English is to master, but they are trying hard! If we can help these students in the early years, they will be much more successful later in their education.
My Project
The students love to play games, and games are a great way to learn new concepts. However, many of our phonics and vocabulary games are old and falling apart. It is not very fun to play a game with old, faded pictures and missing pieces. These new games will not only excite my students, they will also inspire them to learn new things.
Thank you so much for donating to our classroom.
You will impact the education of many students for years to come. The new phonics and vocabulary games will be well loved and used often in our groups!
