Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach kindergarten in a Title I school. My students are full of energy and have a strong desire to learn. I love watching their eyes light up as they learn new skills. My class is full of many different personalities and academic levels.

In addition to making learning fun, I want my students to think of my classroom as a place where they feel safe and loved.

My Project

As my students begin the school year it is often necessary to teach them how to work together and to share. I am requesting fun hands-on-learning activities for my students to feel comfortable participating in and to make the transition into Kindergarten enjoyable.

I plan to use these resources as activities to be used in centers for the beginning of the year, "early finishers", and to also provide hands on learning to develop both social and fine motor skills.

The activities I am requesting will also help me to provide fun ways to teach school routines and procedures.
