Playing is the Greatest Way to Learn

Help me give my students a chance to celebrate the end of state testing season with some fun creative activities. Playing with Kinetic Sand and Magna Tiles, allows the kids to be creative and learn while still being a kid.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching at a title 1 school, many of these kids are not given the opportunity to learn through play. Many of my students are on government assistance. Toys are expensive and are not easily accessible to my group of students and they are so deserving!

These items, kinetic sand and magna-tiles, would make a huge change for my students by having activities that are engaging to the mind after testing, but are not pushing them to an uncomfortable place.

Engaging with the sand and tiles will allow for engagement without burning them out after hours of testing.
