Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my class are from a variety of diverse backgrounds. They come from different cultures, lifestyles, family structures, and religions.

I am starting my first year teaching 8th grade Algebra at HDES in northeast Philly.

HDES is a Title I school in the Philadelphia School District which means many of my students come from low-income families and will not be able to help supply our classroom. I'm so grateful that I have so many years of experiences of playing badminton since 3rd grade. So, I`d like to share my badminton skills with my future students!

My Project

The use of Park & Sun Sports Badminton Pro Set etc. will allow my students to play badminton with friends and me at school. My school never had a badminton team.

If I can create my school badminton team, I`d love to teach them how to play badminton and, in the end, I`d like to take my students to the badminton competition/tournament as well.

There are so many great high school near Philadelphia have school badminton teams. One day, I wish one of my students joins one of the good high school badminton teams and is reminded of his/her experiences of practicing badminton in middle school.
