My Students

Students attend a charter school that focuses on the individual student, personalizing their educational experience. Through parent involvement, dedicated education specialists, campus classes, and community education partners, our students gain an education that traditional brick and mortar classrooms simply can’t provide. The program they're in is extremely individualized, but there are some common themes. Most students complete their work at home and have the opportunity to attend campus classes on Mondays and Fridays.

Students on campus need a safe and engaging place to occupy their time in between campus classes.

Parents often remain on campus with younger siblings while their students are in class, due to the nature of the program. When students are on campus for classes and events, it gives them the opportunity to meet and socialize with their peers.

My Project

Imagination-driven play builds students' developmental skills. Currently our charter school students do not have any outdoor playground structures. With this playground structure, students can imagine they are a Forest Service Ranger on their way to "care for the land and serve people", all while developing cooperative play and turn-taking skills.

This Forest Service Truck structure will bring us one step closer to giving students a playground where they can benefit from fresh air, exercise, and cooperative, creative play.

We want our students to work and play together both inside and outside the classroom. This multi spring truck is the first piece of a playground structure that will be a centerpiece for students to gather around and play in.
