My students need six portable CD players to use with leveled audio books.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Alford's classroom raised $166

My Students
I want my students to develop a love for reading. Listening to stories will create a new opportunity for struggling readers.
My students get so excited when I bring in new books to the classroom.
They love having new opportunities to learn new information! My school takes every opportunity to enforce how important reading is and I want to provide them with materials and equipment to make it possible.
My Project
My students need six CD players to use with leveled audio books. These materials will be used during group rotations. Students will listen to the audio books that are on their level, or their instructional level, to help improve their reading fluency and comprehension. By listening to books on an instructional level, they will learn to master the skills to move up.
Many of my students do not have access to CD players or audio books.
This will give them a chance to experience a new way of reading! They will be able to listen to fluent reading needed based on their level.
