This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a transitional kindergarten teacher and I teach 4 and 5 year old students. At this age we are working on social development as well as fine motor development. At the age of 4 and 5, children's hands have not fully developed. Playdough is a great way to help their little hands develop.
Not only is playdough great for fine motor development, but it also becomes a major social interaction tool for young minds.
These playdough kits have helped my students learn to share, explore and use their imagination in so many ways. We utilize these amazing playdough kits during our center and free-choice time. Students often want to go to these before any other activity. I love playdough and the kids do too!
