Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a school counselor working with students in grades Kindergarten through 5th, I know that children learn best when they're engaged, hands-on, and having fun. That’s why incorporating games into counseling sessions is one of the most effective ways to teach essential social-emotional skills like empathy, self-regulation, problem-solving, and communication.

This project, Play With Purpose, will provide board games, SEL-focused activities, and a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to access counseling resources tailored to a wide range of developmental levels and needs.

These requested tools will allow me to create safe, supportive, and interactive sessions where students can practice life skills in a way that feels natural and joyful.

Whether it’s helping a kindergartener identify their emotions or guiding a 5th grader through conflict resolution, these resources will help turn tough topics into teachable, meaningful moments. Thank you for supporting our students' emotional growth—one game at a time!
