My Students
I serve a PreKindergarten class in a culturally diverse school that includes many backgrounds within Houston ISD. My class size is currently 20 and increasing. Our school has a music program that allows each grade level to explore different forms of music. We are also identified as a Title I school and over half our student receive a reduced or free breakfast and lunch. We also have a population of 25% English Language Learners who are able to enter our bilingual/ESL program.
My early learners love to explore through meaningful play and interact with each other!
My Project
All of my students learn through hands on activities and fun experiences as they are early childhood students and are in need of 2D/3D products. I would like to continue to create an engaging and warm environment that fosters each child the ability to play with a purpose in mind such as letter matching, comparing and contrasting using math manipulatives, and allowing each child to embrace their creative minds to build without limitations. Each child will participate in a rotation of centers where they will utilize each product in a fun academic way.
