Hello! My name is Amber Muniz and I am a first and second grade Extensive Needs Support Teacher in California. This is my first year teaching and I have been so fortunate to share a wall with my mentor teacher who I have been able to turn to for needed items that were not provided in my classroom. Unfortunately, next year we are being relocated from our campus and as a result there is a good chance my students will not have access to her classroom.
There are many things my classroom needs in order to be successful but I have found that meeting their sensory needs is most impactful for student engagement and learning.
