it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many young students who have experienced adversity are still developing expressive language skills. Play is the language that young children use to express their innermost hopes, fears, and needs.
Dolls and dollhouses are great tools for children to express and/or process specific or complex trauma.
Using dolls, children are able to work through difficult topics in a safe and supportive environment. The use of dolls also allows counselors a glimpse into how the child views the world, which can help them determine what a child is going through and how to support them.
