My Project

Everyone loves the feel of sand—the smooth texture and the freedom to create and erase. Through the use of a sand tray and various figurines, my students will be able to explore and process the behaviors, thoughts, and emotions they might be struggling with. Play therapy provides a non-threatening way for students to work through these challenges, often without realizing they’re doing so. Working with teenagers requires innovative and engaging approaches, and this sand tray project offers a creative, hands-on tool to help them express and resolve what’s on their minds.
