My Students

I work with the most amazing student. Many of my students have special needs and are served under the categories of Autism, Specific Learning Disability, and/or Speech-Language Impaired. My sweet students are working hard to improve their language and communication skills.

My Project

Children learn best through play and exploration. It's through play that children acquire cognitive, motor, speech, language, and social emotional skills. Having a variety of play items will provide so many language rich opportunities for students that I serve. Students would be exposed to a wide array of vocabulary as new objects were introduced. Requesting, following directions, sharing, and item identification are just a few goals that could be targeted using these play items. I am certain these items will be loved by my students and provide them with many learning opportunities to improve their skills. Play is the best place to foster language and learning!
