Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach an incredible group of 1st grade students in a self-contained special education classroom. Each of my students is unique, with their own strengths, challenges, and ways of learning. What they all share is a love for learning when it's active, hands-on, and fun.
The toys and manipulatives I’ve requested will support my students in many critical areas—fine motor development, sensory regulation, early math and literacy skills, and most importantly, engagement.
Many of my students learn best through tactile and visual input, and these games and tools will give them the chance to explore, move, and build their understanding of the world in ways that traditional instruction can’t always offer. I am also requesting some slime, toy animals and Mochi Squishy Toys to use as rewards/incentives.
With your support, I can create a classroom environment that meets my students’ individual needs and helps them feel successful and proud of their progress every day.
