Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The scholars that I get to work with each day are a group of unique, motivated learners. Not only are they kind and compassionate, they are willing to take risks for the benefit of themselves and our school community as a whole.
Each day, my scholars show up to school ready to engage with learning at the classroom level, interact as school community members, and do their part as global citizens.
This group of young people are deserving of the best in learning materials that are hands on and fun!
My Project
Games have long been a tool to engage learners, stimulate minds, and to help scholars connect. This project aims to do just that. Research shows that when learners have fun while learning, the new knowledge sticks!
When young people play learning games together, the growth that takes places isn't just academic, they get to learn how to be in community with each other as scholars, friends, and fellow community members.
The set of games that this project will provide will enhance the daily learning experience for my scholars. We will get to take game breaks during which we get to play and learn at the same time!
