My students need BOB books to build reading fluency, science supplies for exploration, balance balls as a flexible seating option, folders for home communication, and wikki sticks/stamps/dot markers for word work.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In my classroom we spend time exploring science, playing math games, practicing literacy skills with hands on materials, and reading and writing daily! My class is full of students who are eager to learn and ready to grow!
My students come from homes with limited resources.
Our school is a Title 1 school where majority of our students receive free or reduced lunch. My students will benefit from having these supplies in the classroom to experience the standards through exploration, play, and independent activities.
My Project
In my classroom, we focus on learning through exploration, play, and independent activities. My students come from homes with fewer resources. I want my students to experience as much as they can at school to help them learn and grow! To explore my students will use science tools to experience the standards hands on. They will use various word work materials to practice writing and making letters, sight words, and sentences.
I believe all child learn in a unique way.
Something I do to help children in my classroom is give them flexible seating options. Balance balls make a great choice for little busy bodies! This is one way to make sure my students can focus and learn throughout the day.
I have requested BOB books to use with students to build fluency, science tools to use in our exploration center, balance balls to use as a flexible seating option, consumable products (folders, paper, pencils, markers, etc.) for projects throughout the year, and various materials for word work (stamps, dot markers, wiki stix). These materials will help my students by giving then tools they are unable to access at home to explore their learning. All materials will be use to create hands on activities and opportunities for students to experience the state standards. I want to give my students fun, creative, unique learning opportunities and experiences.
